What qualifies

We list European carbon removal and carbon farming projects relevant to the CRCF. Two things decide eligibility:

• Project location. CRCF scope follows where the project sits, not where the company is based. Only projects in an EU member state are in scope. We still list strong European developers whose site is outside the EU, clearly marked as out of scope.
• A CRCF-relevant activity. Removal or durable storage of CO2, for example DACCS, BioCCS, biochar, soil carbon farming, afforestation or storage in products. Pure capture or avoidance without removal does not qualify.

We never claim more than the source supports, and we mark the verification status transparently: developer-stated, registry-verified or CRCF-certified. We are an independent directory, this is not an official CRCF recognition.

What we need

• Project name and developer.
• Project location, since CRCF eligibility depends on the project being in the EU.
• Method, for example biochar, DACCS, BioCCS, soil carbon farming, afforestation or storage in products.
• Current status and, if available, the registry where it can be verified.
• A public source we can link to.
